Is there anyone, who is free from bad thoughts? But what is actually a bad thought, an inadequate behaviour? There is no uniform conception of it, of what is abnormal or considered perverted or twisted. Much of this idea or concept of what´s “bad” has to do with our cultural, social, moral, ethical and religious settings and backgrounds.
Now what about our relationship to a body? What determines the way we perceive our or anyone else’s body? Our emotions, as in the case of lovers? A practical and mechanical attitude, as in the case of physicians ? Where are the boundaries situated, for example in the case of prostitution? What proceeds in the mind of a necrophile? What about family members, facing a recently dead body?
Depending upon situations, the very same body can promote or forbid fantasies. Depending upon situations, this body can be touched in ways, which were perhaps never permitted before; aggressively or tenderly. This are the questions, the performers in The burden of being a necrophile face.
